Madeline & Josh Ayers Wedding

A little about today’s wedding. A couple of years ago I had the pleasure of entertaining Amanda (Panholzer) & Stephen Hammocks wedding. So today was just as special to play at Amanda’s sister, Madeline and her new husband Josh Ayers’ wedding.

Rain didn’t stop the celebration at The Yorktown Freight Shed on Sunday, October 29, 2017.  We provided Ceremony Coverage under the tent, then moved inside The Freight Shed for Dinner and Dancing.  After their introduction Madeline and Josh had their first dance to “From The Ground Up” by Dan & Shay.  Madeline and her dad danced to “Cinderella” from Steven Curtis Chapman and Josh’s Mother/Son Dance was to “Humble And Kind” from Tim McGraw.  There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

Congrats to Josh and Madeline and best wishes from #CDJNation. And congrats to Amanda and Stephen who have a beautiful baby girl (she was sleeping). #LoveMyJob

VOW Bridal Event Recap

Colonial DJs was the featured entertainment at the 2014 VOW Bridal Event.  Special Thanks to Barbara Anderson of Style Events and Katherine Byrd of VOW Magazine for allowing us to be a part of the show.  The double booth space allowed us ample room for the dual monitor setup, uplights and music.  We had Howard’s Colonial DJs van parked out front with music to greet the guests as they arrived at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.  Colonial DJs Owner, Jeff Bristow was Co-Emcee with Luke Barton and handled announcements and prize giveaways as well as handled music throughout the entire show.  We had a great flow of traffic to the booth (pictured below) and we look forward to meeting new clients in the coming weeks.  We also want to thanks Kim Wadsworth, Vow Bride Magazine; Chris Lawson, Aviva Media Presentation; Dave Bell, Stage Right Lighting.

In the Vineyard

On the evening of July 6th, 2013, Amanda Peters and Trey Phaup joined in matrimony in the tranquil setting of the Williamsburg Winery. Trey and Amanda’s story begins with a wonderful night with their mutual friends, who ended up becoming a bridesmaid and groomsman, so it was fitting that when they took their next step in their relationship, they were surrounded by their close family and friends. Their love radiates as they bring out the best in each other. The night was M.C.’d by our President, Jeff Bristow, which featured the Love Story package. To call this night fun would be an understatement, this night was a blast for all parties. The night started with Sung by Sam Hayes and they dancing never ceased.  As always at Colonial DJs, we are proud to provide you with a proud history of entertainment.

Major Events in July

Hello Future Brides and Grooms,

Here at Colonial DJs, we like to highlight some of the events each month on our blog as a token of appreciation to our customers. Over the next month, we will give you a glimpse inside the life of the party, as well as the beauty of marriage. The major events that we are highlighting  for July will be the Phaup Wedding, Corporate Event for  Massimo Zanetti, the Franz Wedding, The Vanderbusche Wedding and the Young Wedding. Also, we will highlight a specific DJ and Preferred Vendor each month and show why we only work with the absolute best in Virginia.
