Scott and I would like to express our endless appreciation to Ed Muddiman for the amazing job he did at our wedding ceremony and reception Saturday October 3, 2015 at the Williamsburg Regional Library and the W&M Alumni Hall in Colonial Williamsburg. I cannot begin to express our gratitude.
The wedding was planned for the Williamsburg Community Building and coordinating the sound system between the inside building and outside tent (40X70) was no easy task. Ed met us onsite to see the layout and listened even more carefully to the bride and groom about their wishes for a well-planned but relaxed event. My daughter had very specific music interests for both the ceremony and reception. Ed spent hours accessing and organizing music into playlists for the evening. We even designated an emergency ceremony plan for the library theatre located across from the Community Building in the event of a Hurricane; we all laughed but Ed said he would be flexible to respond to that situation if needed.
Two months later and, much to our surprise, we found out our wedding location was inadvertently located in the midst of an arts festival weekend which required even greater communication on access, parking and arrival. Ed communicated with us frequently and planned to arrive early to ensure access to this restricted area. Just when we thought all of the wedding events were set the other shoe dropped. Excessive rain, a Nor’easter and potential hurricane concerned our events company enough to call Thursday evening (less than 48 hours before the wedding) and cancel our outside tent. This tent was to provide ceremony seating for 200 guests as well as overflow reception seating for 80-100 guests. The hunt began for a new wedding reception and the use of the Williamsburg Regional Library for our ceremony.
Ed was asked Friday morning (less than 36 hours before our wedding) about the possibility of moving the ceremony music to the library and the reception music to the Alumni House. Without hesitation he came in Saturday in the midst of bad weather and set up both venues calmly and professionally. The music and sound was perfect for the ceremony in the library and the reception program ran flawlessly. Ed’s flexibility, professionalism and experience was quite evident. He was calm and prepared for all of our changes set up all within 3 hours of the event.
Katie texted me after the wedding to say thanks for the wedding of her dreams. Many guests commented that the ceremony and reception was seamless; you would never have known it was moved to the Library and W&M Alumni house just several hours earlier.
You are very fortunate to have someone so exceptional and professional on your staff. I am sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye in person Ed. My daughter Katie Bentley (W&M alumni class of 2010), her husband Will Honbarrier (W&M alumni class of 2011) and Scott and I express heartfelt appreciation and thanks to Ed Muddiman and Colonial Dj’s .
We would recommend your organization and in particular Ed Muddiman to any wedding couple looking for the perfect ceremony and reception. Thanks Ed!

Jeff, I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate a job well done Saturday and Saturday night. You were amazing and made Amy and Jordon’s wedding amazing – as the DJ is truly the heart of the wedding and honestly depicts how well the night flows. I hope you did take an opportunity to enjoy a little food. We really do appreciate all of your hard work and I loved the ceremony music and how well everything was timed throughout. Again, many thanks for your hard work and your professionalism throughout this planning process. It was a spectacular night. Sincerely, The Breedloves (and Mr. and Mrs. Hurley)
